I’m thrilled to have been selected as a BT Storyteller for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
BT, the communication partner for the 2012 Games, have chosen 100 people from across the UK to help tell the nation’s story as we build up to the once in a lifetime experience of hosting the greatest show on earth.
The BT Storytellers are drawn from across the nation and represent various media including photography, creative writing, music, art and social networking. The latter is my particular focus, and I’ll be concentrating on talking about the Olympic experience from Weymouth, Dorset, where I live.
As a business writer, I’m particularly interested in the impact that the Olympic and Paralympic Games will have on the local economy, before, during and after the event.
Weymouth is one of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic venues, hosting the sailing events in the stunning surroundings of Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay.
